Problem
– Engine speed sensor has not pulse input
– Engine warning light : ON
– Faulty starting
– Vibration is slightly large
Solution
The crankshaft position sensor is installed near the flywheel pulsar gear on the flywheel and detects the outputs engine speed signal and crankshaft angle
1. Place the key switch in the ON position, and measure the voltage between sensor terminal 1 and Terminal 3 at the wiring harness -GOOD IF IS BETWEEN 4.5 to 5.5 V;
2. Check the sensor and wiring harness connectors;
3. Check the wiring harness between SENSOR terminal 3 and ECU TERMINAL 65;
4. Place the key switch in the ON position, and measure the voltage;
between ECU terminals 44 and 65. IF SI NOT BETWEEN 4,5-5,5 V repair or replaces ECU;
5. Replace the crankshaft sensor.
